Combining a Breast Lift and Augmentation
Patients are under general anesthesia during surgery, which typically takes approximately three to four hours.
An incision is made in each breast so excess skin can be removed and the breast tissue lifted. The implant is then placed either beneath the pectoral muscle or beneath the breast tissue, depending on the surgical plan.

Where Is the Breast Implant Placed?

What to Expect After Breast Lift with Augmentation
Soreness, swelling, and bruising are normal during the early stages of recovery. These symptoms generally improve gradually over the following weeks.
Scars may initially appear dark or noticeable, but typically fade over time as healing progresses.
Drain Removal
Drain tubes placed during surgery are typically removed in the office approximately four days after the procedure.
Return to Work
Patients are generally advised to return to work about one week after surgery while continuing to avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activity.

Massaging exercises may become part of the patient's routine approximately one week after surgery.

Vigorous exercise is generally postponed until approximately four to six weeks after surgery.
What About Scarring?
